Chapter 1 - Back On The Train
Well...here's my first James/Lily fic. I hope yall like it. Characters not mine...only Lily's friends, but not Alice. Please review and tell me how you liked it...

Lily Evans sat in a compartment on the Hogwart's Express, with her friends, chatting away like crazy.
"So, Lily. Who do you think the Head Boy will be??" Lily's friend, Cassie asked, dropping her book and leaning forward, as if a little child.
"I don't know, and I really don't care as long as its not Snivellus." Lily snorted.
"Hey, I thought you despised it when James called him that." Alice asked.
Lily turned up her nose and said, "Well...I do, but it sort of a habit now, and you know he does look like a dog."
"Thats true. The greasy git." Lily's other friend, Rachel, who goes by Rae, agreed. "I hope the head boy is Sirius, the sexy beast."
"How the bloody hell could that man be head boy?!!? Personally, I think it will Remus. Now, he is the sexy beast." Cassie said, twirling one of her golden curls, as she bit her lip and went into a day dream about Remus.
"You lunatics." Lily mumbled.
"Hey! Well, atleast I'm not keeping the man I like a secret. Seriously! Ohh. Sirius." Rae giggled.
Snapping her fingers infront of Rae's entranced eyes Cassie said, "Hey! Snap out of it, drool face."
"Who you calling drool face?!?! Look what's on your chin! See mine. Mine's clean." Rae said, thrusting her chin at Cassie.
"What?!?" Caissie exclaimed, and she grabbed her mirror out of her purse and checked her chin. Sure enough drool was slowly coming down, and she quickly wiped it away.
"Rae, I have no clue what your talking about. How do I keep the man I like a secret?" Lily said.
"Lils. Come on! We alllll know that you have like James ever sence you set eyes on him. And, really! Who can blame you? He the sexiest man out there!" Rae said, throwing her arms into the air.
"Is not!" Cassie yelled.
Rae was one of those people who wouldn't give in until a fair fight had been played, so she yelled back, "Is too."
"Is not!"
"It too!"
"Is not!" Alice joined in.
Rae retorted back, "Is too!"
"Yeah, he is." Cassie and Alice both said at the same time, folding their arms across their chest and looking away, feeling defeat in the argument.
"Told you!" Rae said, sticking her tounge out. "But really, Lils. He's liked you forever, and you scream at him every time he asks you out, and you just keep your crush a secret. Why do you not tell him??"
"Because! A woman should be mysterious, and never reveal who she likes to that man. Unlike you two!" Lily said, pointing at Rae and Cassie, "Who go off into a sex dream every time you see Remus or Sirius!"
"Ughhh. Stop using big words, Lily. It makes you look less attractive." Rae said, looking disugsted.
"Well, thank you, walking mirror!" Lily yelled at her.
"That is true, Lily. You should be mysterious, and I agree with you." Alice said.
"Thank you." Lily said. "So, how long have you and Frank been going out now?"
"This will be our 3rd year. We plan on getting married, once we get out of Hogwarts."
"That's great, Alice!" Lily said.
"Thanks, Lils!"
"Rae, If you think James is sooo god damned hott, then why are you soo obsessed with Sirius?" Lily questioned Rae.
"Because, I know that someday, you are going to marry that kid. It is soo obvious." Rae said, pouting her lips, and bringing out a nail file.
"Whatever." Lily mumbled, and looked down at her watch. "Oh, better go to the heads compartment."
"Oh, me too." Cassie said. "Prefect."
"See you, girls later." Cassie said to Rae and Alice.
"Their too smart for us." Alice said, once the door was closed.
"Yeah!...w-wait!! What!??!?" Rae stuttered, looking furious.

Meanwhile...in the Marauder's Compartment
"So, Prongs, how was your summer? Did you drool over Evans the whole time?" Remus asked, looking up from his muggle magazine.
"Huh???" James asked, "Oh. It was alright. Mum and Dad were gone almost all summer on a mission, tracking down some looser called....Voldie...Voldiewhatsit. I dunno, sumat like that. Lily was at Rae's all summer, and..." James perked up his eyebrows, and smirked.
"Rae is my next door neighbor. I watched them swim everyday in their bikini's. You know once, I marry Lils...Im gonna ask her, what her bra size is."
Sirius let out a laugh, said, "If you ever marry her!"
"Shut up, Padfoot." James said, rolling his eyes, and throwing his head-less chocolate frog at him, that he had just stuffed half way in his mouth.
Sirius caught the frog and shrugged, popping it into his mouth, and simply continued, "You think, she's gonna be surprised when she finds out your Head Boy?"
"Probably. I was surprised, when I got it. I thought it would be you, Remy." James said.
"Hm." Remus mumbled, not taking his eyes off the picture he was looking at in his magazine. "What's that??" Remus asked, pointing to a picture.
"How'm I supposed to know, Moony. Your the muggle expert here." Sirius yelled, his mouth full with chocolate.
"Let me see." James asked, he snatched the magazine from Remus' hands and looked at it. He snorted, "That's a guitar, you idiot!"
"Oh, really?" Remus asked, taking back the magazine, flipping it upside down, side ways, and starring at it with amazed eyes.
"Come on. Time to go to the Head's Compartment." James said.
"Oh, right." Remus said, dropping his magazine, which Peter snathed up, and turned to the page with the cheese.

Lily and Cassie entered the Head's compartment, and saw Remus. She walked towards him, and said, "I knew you would be Head Boy."
"Hmm? Im not Head Boy." Remus said, lifting an eyebrow.
"Really?" Lily questioned.
He scratched his head and narrowed his eyes at her, and said in a confused voice,"Umm....yeah."
"Who is?" Lily asked.
"James." Remus said, simply.
"No way." Lily looked around the compartment and sure enough she saw James, with the gleaming badge on his chest. Now,If I could just see that chest without a shirt...Oh, wait! I already do. When James jumps into the lake every day to show off. He has the most amazing sizx-pack, I have ever seen! No...Lily! Snap out of it! But noo..you like him! HE DOESN'T KNOW! Well, you best bloody well tell him.
Lily hit herself on the head, alittle too hard, and she knocked her head to the side, hitting Cassie in the shoulder.
Cassie yelped and rubbed her shoulder saying, "Oww, Lils. What I do? Did you somehow get to the fire whiskey?"
"Sorry, Cas. Just surprised it's James thats all." Lily replied, rubbing the side of her head, where she hit herself. 'Hmm. James hasn't said a word to me. Maybe he's changed....No! I like the old James!...Merlin, Lily! Shut up.'

Lily and Cassie clambered into the carraige that Rae and Alice were motioning to. Once the four girls were all in, Rae went, "Soo...who's the lucky guy?"
"James." Lily said, plainly, with out enthusiasm, or anger, just plainly.
"Are you ever going to tell him, you like him? Or just let him figure it out himself?" Rae asked.
"I dunno. I know that I am for sure not going to tell him." Lily said.
"Lils, it is soo obvious that that is the man that is going to give you your golden ring." Alice said.
"What?!?!" Lily asked.
This time Alice brought out her nail file and continued,"Your going to marry him! Everyone can tell!"
"Why are my friends a bunch of asylum folks?" Lily asked the sky, raising her hands, her eyes pleading with her.
"Asylum???" Rae asked, bringing out her lip stick.
"Home for the mental people!!!!" Lily yelled.
"Who needs to go to the asylum?" came James' voice, coming into the carraige, followed by the rest of the Marauders(excluding Peter) and Frank, right as the carraiges began to take off.
"Now what are you doing in here, Potter?" Lily questioned him.
"All the other carraiges were full." he said simply sitting down next to Lily, and as he always is, he tried to act cool and placed his arm on Lily's shoulder. Seeing that she did not roll her eyes, or shrug his arm off, he yelled inwardly, 'YESS!! Score one for Prongs!!!!! Woop woop!
"Ohh....I bet!" Rae snorted.
"Now, who needs to go to the asylum?" James cotinued.
"Alice!"
"Oh, no. What has she done this time, Lily." Frank said, as he sat down next to Alice and kissed her cheek.
"Oh...nothing. Nothing. Just the usual." Lily said, looking out the window, trying to stiffle her laughter.
Frank laughed and said, "Sounds like my Alice.", as he kissedf her ear and made her giggle. Alice pleaded for him to stop, but he wouldn't.
"So, how was everyone's summer?" Rae asked, trying to change the subject, seeing Lily's discomfort. With James in the carraige, and their conversation, before they came in.
"Great." Remus said.
"WHO HAS A MIRROR?!?!?! I FEEL A PIMPLE COMMING!!!!" Sirius screeched like a banshee. Rae giggled, at Sirius, and Sirius turned to her. "Do you have a mirror?" he asked.
"Yes, Sirius, I do." Rae said, pulling out her purse. She handed the mirror to him, and he checked his face for the pimple. "Whheew." he sighed, "No pimple."
"That's good." Rae said, taking back the mirror.
"Couldn't have been better." James said, completly ignoring Sirius' outburst.
Lily screeched at him and became infuriated with him. "Hmm? I wonder why?!?!"
"Why?" James asked, as if he didn't have a clue what Lily was talking about.
"I saw you, sitting out on your porch, staring at me in my bikini everyday!" Lily said, poking him hard in the chest.
"That was some kind of weak poke, Evans! And, if you don't want me starring the, wear something that isn't so revealing, and who can blame me? You have the best body!" James said.
"Shut the hell up, Potter, and don't ever talk to me like that again!" Lily retorted, as the carraige came to a halt infront of the Hogwart's Castle.
"Freedom of Speech!!!" James yelled at her, pointing a finger, "Wait...nevermind. That's America. Damn it."
The eight of them got out of the carraige and made their way into the Great Hall. They sat with each other and waited for the sorting to begin. When they were done with the sorting, Dumbledore stood up and made his usual beginning of year speech. Soon the food appeared on their plates, and they all dug in, missing the wonderful food over the holidays.
Cassie and Remus were in their own conversation about muggle politics and Frank and Alice were all mushy on each other. Lily looked around, and saw Rae the same way with Sirius. 'Those two idiots. Now that, is obvious that they like each other. Since when was Sirius afraid to show his feeling. He's so primisucuous...the hore.'
James, noticing the same thing...that it was only he and Lily that weren't talking, brought up a conversation, "So...Lils. How was your summer with Rae?"
"Fine." Lily said, without much enthusiasm, poking around her peas with her fork.
"Were you surprised when you saw that I was Head Boy?" James asked, taking a bite out of a roll.
"To some extent."
James smiled inwardly, to himself. 'Atleast, she's not yelling.'
Dumbledore clinked his goblet softly, with his knife and announced the Hall once more, "I have a few more announcements to make. The Forbidden Forest is, as usual off limits to all students. Our Head Boy and Head Girl this year are both Gryffindor's. Our Head Girl is Lily Evans. Lily do you mind waving?" Lily waved briefly, "There she is. And our Head Boy is James Potter. James?" James blew a kiss to the Hall, and laughter emerged, also with a few wolf whistles here and there from girls.
"Now, Have a good evening. Classes do not begin tomorrow, because it will be a Sunday, but they will begin on Monday, and you will recieve your shedule at dinner tomorrow. Good Evening!" Dumbledore finished.
The Head's Common Room
There was the usual rustling of students heading to their Common Room's, or prefects calling the first year's over.
"Well, I got to go show those little first years the Common Room. Lils...Rae, Alice and I will come see your room in alittle bit." Cassie said, to Lily, before calling the first year Gryffindor's to her. They slowly made their way to her, not one of them wanting to lead the group of about ten children.
"Alright. You know the password, don't you?" Lily asked, and Cassie nodded. She said goodbye to Rae and Alice, then she headed to the 5th floor. She looked for the picture of a house-elf, and said the password, which Lily got to decide, James said he didn't care.
She entered the Head's Common Room, and looked around. It was all red and gold. To the left were three doors that said, 'James' and the other 'Lily', then she guessed that the other door was to the bathroom. Lily looked at the fire blazing in the grate, and the soft, red, leather couch. There were multiple shelves of books upon books on the back wall of the Head's. She went to the shelf and looked and the books, she gasped at books she couldn't even find in the Hogwart's Library, even muggle adult books that her parents read or of the sort. She reminded herself that once she had re-read the library again to go there.
Lily entered the door that led to her room, and saw a large gold canopy bed. She smiled, returned to the Common Room, throwing herself onto the couch. She stared into the fire for five minutes or so, until Rae, Cassie and Alice came in.
"Wow, Lils. This is nice!" Alice said, sitting in the gold armchair next to the couch Lily was sprawled on.
"Yeah, it is. Im lucky I have it all to myself except for James." Lily said.
"Lily, now that your in a dorm together. You have to tell him that you like him." Cassie said.
"Why!?!?" Lily whined. "I don't want him to know, then for sure we will be snogging each other sense-less!"
"That's good!! James is the best kisser in the school! I don't know what Hogwart's is going to do when he leaves!!! And why not? Your being stupid. He won't break up with you after two days like he does with every other girl, because he only does it to make you jealous. He's so sweet, when it comes to you." Rae came in.
"I know." Lily whined louder, banging her feet on the couch, "It's just that. When he first asked me out in the 3rd year, I said no, because I thought I was too young, then same in fourth year. By then I thought the whole school thought I hated James, so then I couldn't say yes, because it would mean that I had given in."
"Lily, you shouldn't care what other people think!" Alice exclaimed.
"I know!!" Lily said, hitting her feet harder on the couch, and covering her eyes with her hands, pulling her face with her hands and yelling loudly.
"Noo! Dont' do that, Lils! It'll ruin your complection!!" Cassie yelled, jumping up from her arm chair and pulling her hands away from her face, with great difficultly.
Lily pushed her off, and kept yelling, "This is so frustrating! He's so perfect!"
"Then tell him!" Rae said.
"Lily! I am giving you a week to tell James any way you like, but if you don't tell him by Friday that you like him, I am going to do it for you! Got it?? And if I ever catch you doing that to your face again I will tape your hands together so you can't do that!!! It's horrible!!" Cassie yelled, pointing a finger at her.
Lily nodded.
"Glad we got that settled." Alice said.
"Her face is going to be horrible." Cassie muttered, tsk tsking under her breath and nodding her head.
"I'm talking about her and James you fool!!" Rae yelled at Cassie.
"Oh....sorry, Rae." Cassie mumbled, twirling her hair for a distraction.
"So, where are those foolish Marauders, anyway?" Rae said.
"They were in the Common Room, but I dunno why James didn't come down here to see his room." Cassie said.
"Oh well." Alice said. "I don't care about the Marauders. Where's Frank!! We haven't snogged in over a week!! If he doesn't come here with in the next 10 minutes I am going to go track him down!"
"Oh my." Lily mumbled, slapping her head. "Back to the aslyum with you!!"
"Hey! What's up with you and asylum?" Alice asked.
"Dunno. Its a fun word. Aslyum, asylum, asylum!! Plus it's where you belong!" Lily giggled.
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not, and you know it!"
"Is too!"
"You fools." Rae came in.
"Is not." Alice continued.
"You know I was just kidding, Alice." Lily said.
"I know. I like doing that." Alice giggled.
Just then the Marauders and Frank came in through the portrait hole, laughing like mad.
"Frank!! Where have you been?!?!" Alice said, getting up from the arm chair, and running to him.
Frank snaked his arms around her waist and laughed out, "Sorry, sweetheart. They played the funniest joke on Snivellus."
"Well, we're leaving now! Bye, Lils!" Alice called, pulling Frank by the wrist back out the portrait hole.
"Yall wanna hear what we did to Snivellus???" Sirius asked the girls.
All three of them nodded their head in a 'No' and Sirius went "Ahh, come on!"
"No, thank you, Sirius." Lily said, sitting up.
"Fine. I can see, I am not wanted. I will go back to the Common Room now." Sirius said, thrusting his nose into the air, and folding his arms across his chest.
"Sirius..." Rae said, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Rae, you know I was joking!" Sirius said.
"Yes, I do. Now, sit down." Rae said, motioning to the spot next to her on the love seat. Sirius came and sat down, but with a pout on his face.
"Aww. Why don't yall wanna hear??" James whined.
Lily recalled multiple reasons, but thought to stick with the best, and most memorable one, "Because, considering what you did to him in fifth year, I don't want to hear any more stories about you and Snape."
"Fine, your arses." James said, taking the only spot that was left in the Common Room, next to Lily on the couch. Lily closed her eyes, and tried to make a furious face, but couldn't.
"So, James. You like the room?" Cassie asked.
He thought about it then said. "Yeah. Their nice. Now I don't have to hear Sirius snogging his pillow at night"
"Hey!" Sirius said.
Rae laughed, and asked, "Ooohh! So, who's Quidditch Captain?"
"How do you not know that?" Remus asked.
Rae shrugged her shoulders and James said, "I am."
"No surprise there, Prongs." Sirius said.
"When does Quidditch start up agian?" Lily asked, finally starting to get intrested in their conversation.
"End of Ocotober, around there." James said. He yawned, and stretched his arms out. He slowly placed one around Lily's shoulder.
'Eeck. He has his arm around me!... God, Lily. You need to chill! Calm down' Went through Lily's mind when he did this, but in James' mind this was going, 'Wow. She let me put my arm around her! YESS!!! Score number 2 for Prongs!!!! Calm down, James. Just calm down. Play it cool...yeahhhh....cool...Damn, I've been watching too much T.P...televi. whatever that is.'
"What's that thing the muggles watch moving picto thingies on?" James asked.
"That would be a television, James. T.V. for short." Lily said, rolling her eyes.
James snapped his fingers, with the hand that wasn't around Lily's shoulder and said, "Ah! I knew it was something like that! Thanks, Lils."
"Well, I guess we better get back to our Common Room." Cassie said.
Remus looked down at this watch and replied, "Yeah, I think so too."
"See yall at breakfast." Rae said.
"Okay. See ya there." Lily waved.
"Im gonna shower." James said, getting up from the couch, and going through one of the doors. Lily bit her lip to surpress a smile. She jumped up and ran to her room. Lily flew open the trunk lid, and took out her Diary. 'I don't know why I still use this. I've had it ever since mum and dad gave it to me for my first year at Hogwarts. Im surprised there are still some pages to fill.'
She took her diary out to the desk in the Common Room, and began writing fiercely. After she had been writing for about 15 minutes she heard the water from the shower stop, and a minute later James came out of the bathroom door, with a towel around his waist. She felt herself melt and thought 'Oh Merlin! I've got to tell him soon...' But as soon as James came out of that door he went back into his bedroom. Lily bit her lip, once more, and wrote another paragraph in her diary, then finished her writing for the night.

Lily woke early the next morning, and decided to go ahead and get her shower done. She thought to herself, 'I'll be smart, unlike sexy James, and bring clothes with me.
She took her clothes into the bathroom, and turned the water on. She hummed to herself, while taking her hair down, and changing out of her pyjamas. She stepped into the shower and began singing softly.

James woke at the sound of the water running, from the shower. 'They put the bloody bathroom next to the bedroom. The arses....Damn! And only one bathroom. I have to pee!'
James jumped out of bed, and began holding his crotch. "Crap!" he yelled. He ran out of his bedroom, and began pounding on the bathroom door.
"Evans! Lily, let me in!! I have to pee!!!" James yelled.
Lily stopped her singing, and yelled back to him, loudly, "What??"
"I have to PEEE!!!" James yelled louder.
He could hear Lily laughing, and he heard the door click. He opened it and ran towards the toilet. He sighed, and looked around the room. 'Mmm. Lily's clothes. hehe.' He heard Lily singing softly and he said, "You have a beautiful voice."
"Thank you." Lily replied from the shower.
James finished his business, and washed his hands. "Thank you, Lily."
"Uh-huh." she replied.
James was about to exit the bathroom, but when he caught sight of Lily's clothes again he slowly came back. He picked up her clothes and left the bathroom, Lily still singing softly, and having no clue that James was still in there.
James left the bathroom, and went back into his bedroom with Lily's clothes. 'Bra size!! He picked up her red lacy bra and read the size. 34 C.
"Holy S....Holy!" James stutterd. He held his throat as he acted like he was choking, and laughed. He took Lily's clothes back into her room, and placed them on her bed. Seconds later he heard her scream, "JAMES POTTER!!!! YOU TOOK MY BLOODY CLOTHES!!!"
"Sure did, Sweetheart!" James yelled back, chuckling.
"I'm gonna kill you!!!!!!" Lily yelled back.
"Ohhh, but you got to come out of the shower first, baby!" James yelled.
"Ugggh!!!" Lily screeched. Not even a second later Lily came charging out of the bathroom, dripping wet, and wearing only her towel. Lily felt butterflies in her stomach when she came out of the door. James was in nothing but his pajama pants. 'Uughh. That chest of his. she thought as she felt her legs give way and wobble some, as she attempted to hold her self up.
"Give me back my clothes, now!" Lily said. James wiggled his eyebrows, and pointed to her bedroom. Lily lunged at the door, and attempted to open it, but the door remained firmly shut.
"Magic." James teased.
"Where's my wand?" Lily mumbled softly, as for her self to only hear.
"Bedroom." James answered for her.
"Damn it." Lily cursed. "James, please?"
"Please what??"
"Can you please unlock my door for me. James you left me with nothing but a towel!" Lily said, throwing her arms in the air.
"Well, I guess I could do that. Since you asked so nicely, and I love you so much." James said, giving a flick of his wand.
Lily rolled her eyes, and when she heard a click from her door, entered her bedroom, but not without a "Im gonna get you for this."
"I bet you will, flower." James said, throwing himself onto the couch feeling proud of his morning trick on Lily. 'Those were someee kind of sexy legs.'
