Chapter 1

"Take a Good Look. It could be your last."

My husband, my one and only love has died in the attempt to save the world from evil. I don't have the will to go on, I can't talk to anyone any more, the only way I talk is when Im alone, and I know Harry is listening to me. He didn't mean to leave me, but he had no choice. Voldemort had him un-armed and at his feet.

"I will come back, love. I promise." Harry said, and he kissed me passionately, before running out to the grounds to face his destiny.

I ran out behind him, and watched him begin his duel with Voldemort. Voldemort disarmed him and he said the worst out of the three, his wand pointing straight at my husband's heart. I let out a horrible scream, and Harry looked at me. He smiled weakly, and let himself be engulfed into the jet of green light, knowing that he had no plan of escape left.

I am only 20 years old, and my life has already been ruined. After Voldemort killed Harry, he and his followers ran off of the Hogwart's grounds and apparated. They left many killed, and more wounded.

Ginny left The Burrow, and headed down the street, to the small cemetry, carrying a single rose. She let the pounding rain hit her aimlessly, her hair drenched in the water. She came to the cemetry and saw the single tomb stone.

She looked at it and collapsed onto her knees in front of it, sinking into the mud, tears run down her face, uncontrollably. She read it, through horrible sobs.

Harry James Potter
Beloved Husband
July 31, 1980-October 31, 2001
Died in the attempt to kill Lord Voldemort

"Harry." she sighed, "Why did Voldemort choose you?"

She talked to the rain, knowing nothing would answer her. She couldn't understand why Harry. She laid the rose on the tomb stone and stared blankly.

"Harry, I love you, and I always will. Harry...I don't want to go on with out you. I can't, its just too hard." Ginny sobbed, "I can't go, waking up every morning with you not beside me, holding me."

"Damn it." she whispered, wiping her smeared maskara from her face. She sniffed and still talked, "Love, I can't talk any more. I don't even talk around Hermione, or little Raine. The family has gone quiet and doesn't talk around me any more...Your little niece, Raine, misses you Harry. Ron and Hermione can't get her to stop talking about you. She doesn't quite understand the meaning of life and death yet."

"I don't understand why Voldemort chose you. Why did it have to be you...and why...why have you left me here on this god-forsaken planet?!" Ginny cried, hitting the ground.

"All of this...it has all happened because of a prophecy. Harry, you could sitll have your parents, you would be scar-less, and you would have known who you were 10 years before you did. You had the most horrid life because of it. I am so sorry. You were only 21. We had only been married for a year, and you have been d...gone for a month now, but I do know that you are in a better place." She couldn't bring herself to say that Harry was dead, "you can see your parent's and Sirius again."

She sniffed, "Hm. The rose that I have lain by you...has a charm on it...It will never wilt, nor will it's petals loose it's redness. They will always stay that bright red colour, but once I am with you agian, it will die...but, also...when Voldemort has been defeated...they will multiply, and re-grow, and stay that red forever."

She touched the soft red petals of the rose, the rain still falling freely on to her face.

"Harry...More and more people are turning up dead. Voldemort is the strongest he has ever been right now. Muggles, and wizards are dying fast...." she paused, and gave a loud, uncontrollable sob, "Why did you have to leave me, Harry!?"

"I love you so much, but I just can't....go on with out you, Harry. I can't." Ginny sobbed uncontrollably. She craddled herself, her red hair falling in her face. She leaned against his tomb stone and whispered, "I love you, I will never have another love."

She felt her self loosing her strength, and loosing her breath. "I don't want to go on...I love you."

She stopped, loosing her self, her heart stopping with the rest of her.

"We gather here today to mourn the sad, and sudden death of our beloved, Ginerva Molly Weasley Potter." a minister said, outside in the little cemetry, that was now accompanied by two tomb stones.

The Weasley family left the two graves and walked down the street, no one talking, just staring straight at the ground as they went back inside of The Burrow.

Next to Harry's tomb stone, lay another one reading,

Ginerva Molly Weasley Potter
Widowed
November 18, 1981-November 31, 2001
Died of not having the strength to go on

The wilted rose laid in between the two graves.

One month later, a Daily Prophet fluttered in the wind, it swirled, and landed on multiple roses, forming from the ground, in the middle of the tiniest cemetry. The roses were the most magnificent red, any had ever seen.

The Daily Prophet read,

Praise! Voldemort, atlast is Dead!
